Walking the Ferguson Twilight Run
Deidre Brown is an America Walks Walking College Fellow, Trailnet Walk/Bike Ambassador, GirlTrek Organizer, and Ferguson Twilight RunPlanning Committee Member. In response to everyone who asks whether it is OK to walk a 5K or 10K race, Deidre says, “YES! Walking is one of the easiest exercises you can do, and a brisk walk is a great way to get your heart pumping. Completing a 5K/10K whether running, walking, or a combination of both, is exhilarating and fun. You walk away with a sense of pride once you cross the finish line.”
