5th Year and Still Running: Spotlight on Maria Smith

Since the first year of the Ferguson Twilight Run, Maria Smith has run the 5K in the Ferguson Twilight Run every year. As an aerobics teacher in North St. Louis County, she challenges her students to participate in the race with her. Maria often crosses the finish line with over sixty of her students on race day. When asked about her favorite part of the Ferguson Twilight Run, she replied, “seeing so many familiar faces and so many people all working toward a unified goal.”
